Seminars & Lectures

A Special Lecture was organized on 28.09.2013 on "Principles of Immunology and Vaccination" by the Department of Nutrition. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Prasanta Kumar Maiti from IMMGENIX, Bhubaneswar.
Scholars, teachers and students from different colleges from West Bengal and Eminent Professors from Jadavpur University, Calcutta University, Burdwan University, Vidyasagar University and Institutes of repute participated in the seminars and special lectures.

NSS Activities

The college has 4 NSS Units. Four hundred NSS volunteers of these Units have undertaken various social activities last year. In the year 2013-2014, a team of 50 Volunteers (30 boys and20 girls), the Programme Officers, Assistant Professors, Part-Time Teachers, Guest Teachers and Non Teaching Staff of the college donated blood in the Blood Donation Camp jointly organized by the NSS Units and the Unit of Students Health Home.
4 Winter Special Camps were organized by four NSS Units from 29.01 .2014 to 03.02.2014.
Rally and Processions were organized against Dengue, AIDS etc., during camp times.

Cultural Activities

Like a touch stone, this college imparted champions spirit among the students and this is manifested in their successive success in Youth Parliament and Quiz Competition in both district and state level. Dinabandhu Dey, Rajkumar Goswami, Sudipa Jana, Susmita Banerjee, Samapti Ghosh, Soudeep Mahata, Kanchan Ghosh, Madhurima Goswami and Siltu Bera glorified our college name for their successful participation in the Youth Parliament Competition last year. Brilliant performance of the students and cordial coaching of the teachers and above all the vibrant cultural ambience of the college made this possible.
